Summer Fun Soiree

Greetings!

Our JLGWH chapter is already off to a magnificent start at the forefront of its new year. The Summer Fun Soirée member social at Grove Roots Brewing Co. on Saturday was a time to catch up with those that we may have not seen since the close of last year, as well as a time to make new acquaintances with individuals who are interested in joining the League, which is most exciting news! I would like to introduce to you and for you to please welcome: Wendy, a provisional member, and Lo, a fellow Junior Leaguer that has transferred from Texas. Welcome!

We hope everyone found the time productive, valuable, and gained much by socializing and mingling with each other especially, with this year’s President, Allison Futch and other leaders of the League. The conversations and discussions that took place were a combination of topics that were League related and non-League related, which was absolutely fantastic and definitely the purpose and reasoning behind the event.

Please stay tuned, as our chapter plans to bring you more exciting news and events in the near future. Our leadership is working very hard in preparing and planning events that emphasize volunteerism, community service, networking, lifelong learning, and personal development while achieving our League’s mission. We hope you are able to join us and participate as much as you can in everything that the League will be doing this upcoming year.

Finally, a special heartfelt thanks to Rhonda Todd, our Membership VP, for wonderfully organizing and hosting this special event and to Tori McLean, our Provisional Member Co Chairman, for the delicious sweet treats at the event. Thank you both so much and thank you to those who attended.

We hope to see everyone real soon and, as always, thank you for being a supporter of the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven.
