Success seems to be connected with action.

Hello Everyone,

Below is a recap of our most recent events. Forgive the delay in posting.

Mobile Food Pantry

By 9:00 on Saturday morning, a crowd formed a block-long line in the neighborhood near Gunter Park where Junior League of Greater Winter Haven (JLGWH) volunteers awaited behind food-laden tables of fresh produce and meat ready to welcome and distribute food - and toiletries - to the people of Lake Hamilton.

By 10:30 am, the crowd - and most of the food - was gone. A total of 145 households accounting for 550 people (287 of them being children) had been served. It was a another successful delivery for the program and we hope to be just as successful with upcoming Mobile Food Pantries.

A special thanks to the Town of Lake Hamilton for hosting us and to Grace Lutheran School for donating the toiletries that were distributed as well as to Heather Reuter and Amanda Bataille for organizing events and leading the volunteers that day.
